Hello there.  I am Nicole from Richmond, VA. At one time, this was my running blog. Then I was hit with a big chronic case of IT Band Syndrome in my left leg.  After taking years off I decided that for as much as running helped me mentally, I needed to get into something else similar but not quite as taxing.

That something else ended up being hiking and backpacking.

I am reintroducing this blog as my hiking/backpacking as the sentiment of the name still works with my new goals and ambitions.

Right now, I am not sure where this will take me? Thoughts on trail, gear reviews, the point of view by someone who had no experience with the outdoors until they were over 30, being a woman on the trail (often solo), etc.
